Any alternatives to the native IOS Calendar

Any alternatives to the native IOS Calendar ? the native Calendar seems terrible compared to Google Calendar. For example if I move the phone from vertical to horizontal the Calendar does not respond to that change. I have also tried to link my Outlook.com Calendar to my iphone and alot of events aren't showing even when I select all the "Outlook Calendars" under the native Calendar app.

What is even more fustrating is I can see the events on the Calendar app on my Mac?

The reason I moved away from Google was privacy but at least Google Calendar works..

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 11.1

Make sure rotation is not locked on your iPhone in control center. If its rotation is not locked, then try restarting the iPhone.

As to alternative calendars, you can totally download Google Calendar from the App store if you want to, as well as a slew of other calendar apps available there. Search the App store for options.
