Creating a second monitor from old Mac

Hello!

I am looking to use my old (circa 2008) Mac as a second monitor for my new one. I have googled it and am just confused. I know it is more difficult since it is so old. Does anyone know what cord I would need? I’ve enclosed pictures of both back ports for reference. The older one is first not sure why the second picture keeps being upside down.

Sorry, but neither of those iMac's support Target Display Mode.
