MacMini Mojave can't find printer

MacMini on Mojave Printers & Scanners Prefs can't find printer Epson WF-2860 Series on wifi.

From what I see on web, HP Printers have same problem.

I've used Epson's installer, Epson's Australian installer and Apple's installer twice each, once using USB installer and once using Wifi installer.

WF-2860 will work on iOS devices by WiFi no problem.

WF-2860 will work if USB connected but I don't have space to have it connected that close to my Mac.

Possible hint to Apple & Epson: somewhere during install it said "You must create a queue file for this to work," and I suspect these installers don't create the required queue file. On web there was also a comment that HP asked Apple to disable something in HP's installers.

I need printer mainly to print from my Mac so Epson WF-2860 Series is unacceptable.

I guess I'll return it to Staples.

But this Epson WF-2860 doesn't work properly.

Make sure the Mac is on the same WiFi.

Use the Apple menu -> System Preferences -> Printer and Scanner and add printer holding the Option (Alt) key as you tap the add printer Plus sign in the preference panel. It will look for all printers announcing themselves on the WiFi.

Note, your printer needs to be on a WPA2 secure WiFi.

If you have a USB printer cable, you can reprogram the WiFi of most printers.

has drivers for Mojave for your Epson. Any other printers you should go to the manufacturer website for drivers.
