Hp color laserjet pro M254dw printer firmware downgrade

Does anyone have HP printer and it automatically updated firmware and have SUPPLY PROBLEM issue?

I need to downgrade the firmware but I cannot find how in apple computers. (mac pro)

MacBook Pro 13″, OS X 10.10

Downgrade HP printer firmware? The latest HP firmware update bricked my printer (I'm using 3rd party toner). There is lots of noise on Reddit about the problem and various Windows solutions. I'm looking for one that works for a Mac. I have the previous (working) HP .rfu but can't figure out how to push it to the printer. FTP doesn't work, and current HP Print Utility doesn't recognize it. Thoughts? Ron

If there is a way to downgrade the HP printer's firmware you will not find it from Apple since Apple does not develop firmware for non-Apple products. You would need to contact HP: Contact a third-party vendor - Apple Support.
