2020 iMac Screen Glitch on Shutdown

I stand corrected. That in fact is not acceptable. I'd love to test this on my 2020 iMac but I need it for work. Is it revertable when you delete the additional user (e.g. not having to reinstall the entire system)?

Software bugs don't necessary / always replicate consistently and if it's a coding bug with a particular piece (model) of hardware, replacing the hardware and then finding no issue doesn't necessarily mean the issue has actually been fixed. Many users of course may not even notice it or be bothered with it etc. Now I'm no expert just to put that out there but I also (and I don't think I'm being naive here) don't believe for a second Apple would try to hide or deflect what could potentially be a massive hardware headache for them by lying or misleading us. I'm as certain and confident as I can be this will be resolved in the very near future. Those looking for explanations and transparency from Apple here will be, I think, disappointed as they never do that, but they always deal with these types of issue which is the main thing.

Lets hope so Gus. I also am a big Mac (that sounds familiar!!!) user. And have experience in several cases on hardware flaws etcetera... up to now always have been happy with apple and still. As for their privacy matters which i hope they will even make better and better in the future.

So, we will keep our eyes open =)

I have same thing. Not sure if its a hardware issue or not or if we should be worried or not. Mine is an i7 but same graphics card. any news?

PS, I called Apple support. As expected the agent didn't really know anything. He said to reset PRAM. I haven't tried yet, but doubt that will do anything.

No, the issue came back later last night. 11.2.1 is not the medicine.

Chiming in here to confirm the same issue in an iMac purchased last month, now updated to 11.2.1

unclear as to how concerned I should be about this issue.

I have the same EXACT issue. Same issue and I am running the AMD Radeon Pro 5700XT 16GB. 27inch MAC (2020). Has apple been able to help with this? Any other issues with the graphics card?

Thank you very much for the tip. I have tried that but unfortunately it did't work. I used to have an iMac before and have never had encountered any kind of issue av this sort.

Ava-JT. I also failed to mention that I too see this occur after anytime my screen goes to sleep. Once the screen is woke, when I shutdown that will occur.

I bought iMac i9 5700XT a few days ago .... i'm waiting and shaking ....

I have reinstalled entire system (with all users) and issue came back. However, I have not tried to delete additional users. Unfortunately.

Sup guys, Even after Big sur update, it still dosen't go away. But the difference is that the glitch is shown after screen is darken. Has anyone experienced differently?

Hey studio~ I am happy to hear that you have had good memories with Apple tech dept. I hope that apple tech dept here in Korea are going to handles us same way excercised in your part of country.
