direct express won’t work with apple pay?

direct express (direct deposit social security, debit only) still not working with apple pay, yet the bank itself (comerica) has a whole section on its site saying comerica cards (credit or debit) do work with apple pay.

anyone know what’s up with that?

apple pay not working I have set up my credit card in Apple Pay but since April, it is not working. They ask for verification, I enter what they ask for and the same notice appears “this card can’t be verified”, yet Apple charges are coming off the statement of same credit card every month for other transactions.

my bank is on the participating banks page for Apple Pay but I can't add my card I am trying to add my direct express debit card to Apple Pay. the bank they use is Comerica Bank and it shows them as being a participating bank on the list. however the card won't add. is there any way to add it or am I just out of luck?
