Iphone 12 mini purple flash

So I’ve seen on YouTube some people have on the front of their phone the purple flash on and I’m not sure how to do that.

iPhone XR Flash doesn't work The flashlight works fine. The flash icon used to offer 3 options, now its a toggle bet. on and off but doesn't work regardless. Current OS is 14.4.2. Thanks for any ideas.
