I have the card in my account, the problem is it’s not letting me buy on a game?

I have $50 in my account, but on this game it is not letting me buy? It says to contact apple support?

Go to this link - If your payment method is declined in the App Store or iTunes Store

Did you set the gift card as the default payment for your Apple ID? - Change, add, or remove Apple ID payment methods
