Thanks Brian, no backups on pc only in iCloud but it’s a limited backup because my iCloud storage is at full capacity unless I change my storage plan which I’m trying to avoid hence why I’m wanting to use iTunes and store a full backup on my pc.
Thanks Raina_b22, I have tried restarting each device to no avail. iTunes still displays the same message ( iTunes cannot read the contents of the iPhone ) extra. I have managed my iCloud storage to the best without deleting important data. I only have one pc available to do an iTunes backup. I have the latest version of iTunes on my pc. None of the other information is relevant to my situation.
Thanks turingtest2, I tried resetting location and privacy and also network settings and the problem still exists. I’ve been in contact with Apple support now and they think it’s a problem with my pc. They made an opponent for me to come into the Apple stotand try on their pc.
Best of luck.
