Activation lock on Apple Watch

Hi my husband and I bought an Apple Watch used. It was unlocked when we got it, but somehow it got reset and now it has an activation lock on it!! I don’t know the Apple ID. I thought it was mine, but I can’t find it in find my iPhone. I don’t know what to do, please help!!

The activation lock was put on by the person you bought the watch off.

What you need to do now is contact that person and have them follow all these steps in order to remove the activation lock so that you can use the watch;
