Slow start up

My Early MacBook Pro 13 with i5 and 8GB RAM would start very quickly on older OS versions.

Ever since the Big Sur update, I get this strange loading bar and it takes considerably more to boot up once I enter my password.

It seriously went from 5-7 seconds to some 20seconds.

I ran a clean instal (and reset to factory settings) of Big Sur. As well as PRAM and SMC reset.

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 11.1

Disconnect any external drives and restart in Safe Mode ( Shift ) key immediately at startup. It will do a Disk Repair, clean cache files and only load Apple Software required to start the computer. Thus, it will load more slowly - Normal. Once logged in let it run 5 - 7 minutes and then do a normal boot.
