Is it possible to make an 11x17 inch print of a photo in the Photos program?

Yeah, I tried that and it wouldn't let me input 11x17. Then I went to the upper right hand corner where you select paper sizes and selected tabloid and I could then put in 11x17. Printed just fine.

Yes, if you hvae a printer that can do that.
In the print window, select custom size, and then specify 11x17 in the size settings at the bottom. Make sure inches is selected, and not cm.
You also need to set a suitable paper size.
Here is the print panel set up for 8x10 (I can't show 11x17 because my printer doesn't have a paper size large enough.
