Apple Watch and New Phone

I have a new iPhone and I did not impair my Apple Watch from my old iPhone. How do Reset the watch without the activation lock? To pair my watch to my new phone?

I had a company phone paired to my apple watch. I got a personal new phone and turned in my company phone (erased and set back to default) prior to pairing my watch with the new phone. Now my apple watch is still paired with the old phone. How do I get my apple watch to reset without the old phone it is still paired with? This is a legit question and I did not steal anything. I just want to reset the watch and pair to the new phone. I even tried deleting the watch off my apple id account but no luck.

To unpair and erase watch and remove Activation Lock.

On a computer, go to iCloud.com and sign in with your Apple ID.

Go to Find Iphone.

Select All Devices, then click your Apple Watch.

Click Erase Apple Watch.

Select Next until the device is erased.

Click the remove button next to your Apple Watch.
