Hello, I bought a new iphone 12 in vacum from one store (not directly from apple or apple authorized reseller). I’ve checked imei after I bought him and there was written “purchase date not validated. In settings -> general says Limited warranty expires 8.12.2021. But this is not date of buy, ordering, not even activating phone. I activated and got a phone 29.12.2020. I’m confused and looking for an answer.
Because you did not purchase from an authorized dealer. The warranty starts on the first day of initial purchase. When purchasing from an unauthorized dealer, that date will be when the dealer purchased it from Apple.
Thank you for reply. Few days later warrancy was automatically updated how should be. (I mean same as date of activation). So there’s no reason to worry about? First I thought that phone was used by someone else earlier.

Purchase date was 29.12.2020. Why my limited warrancy expires 8.12.2021 then? (Few days earlier). By the way phone was bought via webshop if that matters
