I have on a disk Microsoft office 97 professional Edition which I bought in the 97 all legit Can I use that on my Mac?
Sorry, that’s way too old to run on any current hardware or Operating System. After all, it’s 23 years old.

But there is the free, 64-bit LibreOffice Suite (MS Office clone) that requires macOS 10.10 or later in its current version (7.0.4). Will open Word 6 documents, and even earlier.
