I’m trading in my IPad. I have received my new one and erased the old one. I’ve packaged my old one to ship using the provided FedEx label and box. What now? Does Apple arrange for FedEx to pick the package up at my house? Or do I need to contact FedEx for pickup?

While shipping your trade-in back is free, you do have to either drop the package off at a FedEx Drop-Off location, or as you said, arrange for FedEx to come and pickup your package.
