Pyle PMX44T sound board - USB hub on iMac drops at random?

I have a Pyle PMX44T mini board connected to my iMac and the USB hub keeps dropping the board at random. I've used the board with Garage Band and Audacity both and it does the same thing with both of them. If I connect the board to my Windows 10 laptop and us Audacity, it works just fine. I prefer to use my iMac and the laptop is not a very good one so I'm hoping someone knows why this happens and how to fix it?

Have you run any "cleaning", "optimizing", "speed-up" or anti-virus apps on your Mac? If you have download and run Etrecheck. Etrecheck is a diagnostic tool that was developed by one of the most respected users here in the ASC and recommended by Apple Support  to provide a snapshot of the system and help identify the more obvious culprits that can adversely affect a Mac's performance.

Copy the report

and use the Additional Text button to include the report in your reply.

IMPORTANT:

Before running Etrecheck assign Full Disk Access to Etrecheck in the Etrecheck's Privacy preference pane so that it can get additional information from the Console and log files for the report:

Also click and read the About info to further permit full disk access.

Then we can examine the report and see if we can determine what might be causing the problem.

Plugging directly into iMac USB port and I've changed cables and Pyle replaced the PMX44T with a new PMX44T. It still drops the USB connection which doesn't make sense to me as everything has been eliminated with the exception of the iMac and it's only 2 years old and is running the latest OS. It seems like the USB driver that gets assigned to the board doesn't play well. I have noticed that after losing and regaining connection a few times, the OS changes the USB driver from JieLi BR17 to USBI/OHUB and it seems to work fine. JieLi BR17 is what the OS normally recognizes the PMX44T board as.
