Friend used my computer, he changed accessibility settings and these visuals are now appearing, the Mac is slow and beachballs, how do I remove them?

Your friend has turned on Voice Control in the System/Accessibility/Voice Control preference pane. Turn it off and the numbers in the menus will go away.
The Wake Up maybe was set in the System/Energy Saver/Schedule preference pane. Not sure.
In the future create a non administrative user account for others to use instead of your primary account. Also change the login password for your account.
