I can’t remember my sons Apple ID

Use Apple's iForgot service or contact their Account Security team. If you've run into the activation lock, the iPhone's original owner can instead supply Apple with its purchase receipt and ask them to remove it, but this won't grant access to anything else associated with the Apple ID.
