iPhone 12 Pro picture edit mode brightness

Hi

I’m seeing an issue with my iPhone 12 Pro with iOS 14.3:

pictures shown in photo app view mode are less bright than in edit mode.

This with hdr view on.

So when I edit a picture I set the brightness and contrast level I want, but when I finalise the editing, the picture shown in the library is somewhat slightly washed out, with less light strength.

if I turn off hdr view in settings, the problem is gone but I don’t get to have the nice bright picture I had before in edit mode... I only get the less bright version both in edit mode and in view mode.

is this normal and due to HDR?

thanks

After checking on other sites and forums I can confirm this is now a known issue globally.

Photos in edit mode are shown brighter (and more beautiful) than in view mode.

This means they are not even shareable correctly.

Maybe view mode doesn’t show HDR??

This is very bad for photo makers.

Hope it’s a software issues that you will address promptly.

Thanks.
