macFuse issue on Big Sur 11.1

Hi

i have recently made an upgrade to BigSur 1.1 on my Mac mini M1. Unfortunately this made PCloud https://www.pcloud.com/ no longer usable. The issue is that apparently new Os release blocks system extension that works with macFUSE and therefore the cloud disk of Cloud can not be made visible on Finder application. According to pCloud developers "From our tests with Big Sur 11.1, we found that most apps depending on macFUSE as a filesystem for Mac devices will be affected"

I am wondering if somebody else has been affected by a similar problem?

Maurizio

Hello chaam21,

eventually pCloud developers resolved my problem. Here the steps they suggested:

>>>>>>>>>>>

1. Open the Activity Monitor (search for it with spotlight) and force

quit the pCloud process (you can use the searchbox on the right to find

it)? After that, you could delete the application.

2. Delete the database of the app following these steps: Stop the

application, then open the Terminal and enter the following command: rm

-r .pcloud

Please bear in mind that you should restart your computer once you uninstall the app.

3. Download and install FUSE from here: https://osxfuse.github.io/2021/01/02/macFUSE-4.0.4.html

4. Then install the build version from here: https://u.pcloud.link/publink/show?code=XZgkUQXZqzIsNbeTHyXPr0gj9h9fVhnW2KYk

Reboot and try to login again. Note that if you had any syncs before, you will have to re-add them again.

>>>>>>>>>>>

Apparently the critical step that is missing in their official page is the need to reinsyall Fuse from GitHub.

I have 2 mac Mini.s and following the above instructions they ar enow both wroking with pDrive and the latest BigSur release.

Hope it helps
