Does personal engraving affect warranty and return for iPad Air 4?

I am going to buy a iPad Air 4 with personal engraving. I have heard that some of them have display issue. Should I add the personal engraving if I want to return it if I find the display issue on mine? Does the personal engraving affect the warranty and return?

Will apple remove engraving from ipad which is returned? I just picked up my ipad pro 128G 3 days ago, but after received, I feel unsatisfied with the storage size, I thought 256G is what I want so that I want to return it and get a refund cause I have 7-days apple care for ipad. That is my problem, it keeps bothering me😢, if apple can't remove engraving after I return, I may keep using this ipad. By the way, have you guys seen the official refurbished ipad which has engraving appear on apple shop?
