Problem with hover text feature to show large text display for pdf files

I've just tried the new hover text feature (hover over text with command key pressed to display a large text view) and found it to be an incredible life-changer.

The only problem is with pdf.

When I hover over pdf, it's showing texts on a page level (press command anywhere will show all text on the page) and every paragraph is wrapped in disabled(), which are pretty frustrating.

Is there any way to fix that?

Sounds like you are using the Accessibility Zoom control for Enable Hover Text using the command key. No, it does not work on a normal PDF when viewed in Apple's Preview. No fix for that as far as I know, other than the following…

Preview has a Tools menu : Show Magnifier that opens a large rectangular portal over PDF text. Adobe Acrobat Reader DC has a View menu : Zoom… : Loupe tool that allows one to zoom in on a rectangular area of text.
