Hi, EL7066.

We appreciate you taking the time to post in the Apple Support Communities.

We understand that your new iPad is experiencing an issue with blurriness on the top half of your FaceTime video calls and selfies.

If only the top half of the screen is blurry, and it happens with both FaceTime and the Camera app using the front-facing TrueDepth camera, check to make sure that you didn’t miss a piece of the protective film when you unboxed it. If you have a screen protector or case on your iPad, you might also test by removing those. It sounds like something might be blocking the top half of the camera.

We also suggest cleaning the camera lens with a soft, link-free cloth to remove any dirt, debris or oil that may have been left by your hands.
