Uconnect System suddenly not working

I have a 2007 Dodge Caliber with a Uconnect system. Everything was working fine until I did the update to IOS 14. One day I went to make a call like I have always done, and the one I called said they could not hear me. I was shouting and they could not hear me. I could and still can hear them loud and clear.


I unpaired the phone and paired it again to the car. I have to say the name of the phone and it was recorded, so I know the Uconnect microphone is working.


I have checked for updates for the car, there are none.


The problem seems to come from the update to IOS 14. I have an iPhone 11 currently running IOS 14.3


How do I get my hands free to work again?

I'm sorry it took so long to reply. I did contact Uconnect. They said I have tried everything. The Uconnect agent suggested setting up an appointment to have them call me. I have not done this yet. I will reply if I do this.


I did try calling other cell phones just make sure it was not a phone specific issue on the other end. They all had the same problem.

I had the same problem. I contacted Uconnect and we went thorugh all the suggstions they had and it did not help. Fortunately, my wife has not yet updated her iphone to ios 14. She is running 13 and I connected her phone and it works flawlessly. This would prove that it is a iOS 14 issue when dealing with the older uconnect.


Please let us know what you suggest or if apple is looking into the issue. Something clearly chnaged from 13 to 14.
