If you purchased a pair and look up the serial and it a valid serial number it could still be fakes. They put serial numbers that match real AirPods serial numbers on the box and product. I suggest you google real vs fake AirPods. There are a bunch of articles and YouTube videos how to spot the differences. You could also take them to an apple store and ask them.
