M1 MacBook Air crash noise while playing music

You're very welcome! So we're on the same page, are you currently running macOS 11.1 on your MacBook Air? If not, let's use the steps below to update macOS first.

How to update the software on your Mac

If the problem persists after updating macOS, please reach out to our Apple Support advisors at Get Support so we can take a closer look into what's going on with your new Mac. Resetting NVRAM worked for a few days and then the problem came back.

I get this issue fairly constantly. Here's what I've noticed:

• I stream music using spotify (latest version)
• Using iOS 11.1
• 2020 MacbookPro with M1 chip
• It seems to happen most when graphical changes are occurring on the screen, for example if I am using Ctr+Up to see what windows I have open, or if I am switching between multiple desktops. Or even switching tabs in Google Chrome.

I'm going to be taking it up with Mac Support again as it is unacceptable for the cost of this device.

Did you update your software to macOS Big Sur 11.2.1 to fix dat sound issue with your speakers?
