Thanks but the issue is different: the laptop recognizes my iphone 11 but it starts and stops charging every few seconds. Same happened with my former iphone X

Hey Manfe,

We see that you're having issues connecting your iPhone to your Mac, and we'd like to help!

Please try all the steps that are provided from the article here: If your computer doesn't recognize your iPhone, iPad or iPod

Be sure to try step number 8 from the top of the article, where you connect your device to another computer if you have one available.

If the issue persists, please contact Apple Support team here: Contact Apple for support and service

We hope this helps!

Best regards.

Hey Manfe,

Thanks for providing us with additional information!

It sounds like the issue might be coming from the cable or the USB port on the computer. Have you had the chance to connect your iPhone to another computer to see if the issue persists?

If the issue persists even with another cable or computer, we suggest that you contact Apple Support team for further assistance: Contact Apple for support and service

Have a great day!
