Apple Pencil Skipping
Hey there!! I have seen a couple threads on this topic but nothing has helped so far so I figured I’d give this a shot!
Context: I got a new Apple Pencil a month and a half ago or so, but recently (as of the past two weeks) the pencil skips whenever I draw. It has notably been getting worse. This has happened on Procreate, Notes, and Toomboom/Astropad (the program used to draw on a computer using the iPad) but works fine on Sketchbook Pro, another drawing program.
I am using a first gen Apple Pencil and an iPad Pro, version 14.2
I had my old Apple Pencil for years and I never encountered this problem- I only had to replace it because it’s battery life got low.
Considering the pencil costs 100$ I am hesitant on replacing it when this one stopped working so suddenly.
Other things to note: I have tried tightening the tip, cleaning off my iPad, drawing while the iPad is charging and when it isn’t, restarting my iPad, reconnecting the Apple Pencil, and I have Zoom turned off
The last thing I plan on trying is replacing the tip if I can find the extra one that came with the packaging.
Thank you so much for your time!!
