how do you know if a song is DRM protected? I can't seem to find my entire iTunes library when looking for music to add to a video project. Im using a 2020 Mac Book Air

Did anyone else see how Apple tells you how you can put music into iMovie and THEN tells you at the end that you probably WON’T be able to do it because nearly ALL the songs in iTunes have drm protection? Is it true you basically can no longer use music in your iTunes library for iMovie soundtracks due to drm protection? If. so, this renders iMovie nearly useless because a soundtrack is the most important thing in making a professional looking and sounding video.

Apple Music I have downloaded a couple songs to use on an iMovie and it says the song is DRM protected. I was under the impression that I could download them when I signed up for Apple Music.

Use the Songs view and turn on the Kind column.
