I thought I posted this question a day or two ago but can't find it.

My wife is functionally blind. How can she answer her iPhone 6 without swiping or tapping the new green dot? Voice over introduces other problems for her.

Thank you!

Hello rncordy,

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities!

We understand from your post that you would like a way for your wife who is functionally blind to be able to answer calls on her iPhone 6 without swiping or tapping the screen. One option may be to enabled Auto-Answer calls. To enable this feature tap Settings > General > Accessibility > Call Audio Routing > Auto-Answer Calls. Once enabled you can set the amount of time for the iPhone to ring before it is automatically answered.

Best Regards.

ncordy,

With Auto-Answer Calls enabled there is no way to leave a voicemail once the call has been answered. In a situation like this, the caller could send a text message that could then be read aloud later. If Siri is enabled, your wife can say, "Hey Siri, read the last text message received." As long as the iPhone is unlocked Siri will read the last text message your wife received aloud.
