2020 MacBook Air Video Quality Grainy

Is it true that Apple believes graining FaceTime video is "expected behavior" for a 2020 MacBook Air? I contacted apple support and was told there is nothing that Apple can do about the video being grainy. I shared I have floor to ceiling windows and substantial lighting, however the response remained there is nothing that can be done because grainy video is "expected behavior". Additionally with the MacBook Air and iPad side-by-side in the same light, the iPad video is unbelievably better than the 2020 MacBook Air. Is there something that can be done to fix the video on the MacBook Air? Currently, this is not HD quality
