Not honoring AppleCare agreement.

What happens when they don’t honor the agreement. I purchased AppleCare for a 11 and my grandbaby lost her phone today. The plan ends in 2 days and now they won’t honor contract. We’ve only had one claim since we’ve purchased the phone.

How do we handle this issue? You took my money you should honor the contract until it ends. Sad!!

So you purchased AppleCare + and Theft and Loss (which costs more) for your granddaughters iPhone 11? If you did not purchase the additional Theft and Loss the AppleCare + plan alone doesn't cover your circumstances. If you did purchase it you have to file a climb with the insurance company.

No one here took your money. You are not speaking with Apple. You are speaking with users on this user to user only forum.

When you purchased your AppleCare+ plan did you buy AppleCare+ or AppleCare+ Theft and Loss. There are three levels of AppleCare:

  1. Standard AppleCare, which is the standard one year warranty (it does not cover theft and loss at all) that comes with iPhone
  2. AppleCare+, and added cost plan which provides for replacements for accidental damage at reduced cost, but it does NOT cover theft and loss at all either)
  3. AppleCare+ Theft and Loss, it does also include Theft and Loss and it is more expensive than AppleCare+

Which plan did you actually purchase. If you purchased AppleCare+ Theft and Loss, you need to elevate your claim with Apple. If you only purchased AppleCare+, you don't have a claim to begin with as it would not cover Theft and Loss.

A Few Thoughts for Retrieving a Stollen iPhone:

  • Use “Find My”:

Go Here: iCloud - Find My - Apple and see if it is enabled. Use the steps provided there to locate it.

  • Backtrack your Locations:

If you were at a retail store or local cafe', then stop by and see if if was placed aside by the store manager.

  • Call the Number:

Dial the iPhone itself; you might hear it ring in the other room..

  • Text the iPhone a Message:

If you cannot find this, then text the iPhone, sending it a messages asking whomever finds it to contact you. Perhaps, have them eMail you, putting a particular title in it (so that you recognize the eMail. If you go to pick it up from an individual, then have someone there with you, probably meeting them at a public, safe location, both for safety purposes.

  • Also, Contact Local Authorities:

Perhaps someone is respective enough to have turned-around handed it over to local authorities. See if they have found it.
