Syncing Multiple Apple devices

Hi- ive got 3 different phones (7plus, X & 12) for different purposes (work/international travel/& local ) + 1 ipad pro . I want all devices to be identical (same apps/contact lists/photos etc).

How can I sync between them but only backup once to iCloud? If I backup all 4 will it count towards my 200gb storage limit?

First world problems I know 🙄! Any help would be appreciated!

iPhone X, iOS 14

So to get all 4 devices to sync I just set them up with same Apple ID or is there a special setting I need to do?

Yes. Just enable the various content types you want synced to iCloud.

Does one of the devices need to be the “main” one?

No. Syncing makes them all equal. The point of syncing is to make the content the same on each device, assuming space availability.

Don't enable backup on 3 of the devices.
