changed a genuine screen and get the non-genuine screen notification
So as the title briefly explains I repaired my iPhone 11 Pro myself. I did not buy a 3rd party screen, because I know it will always have low quality. Instead I bought a fully working iPhone with a broken backside for a cheap price. I replaced the front screen with my iPhone. However before the repair there was no notification on either phones. After the proper replacement everything worked except 'true tone' as well as a notification 'Unable to verify this iPhone has a genuine Apple display.'
This to me seems odd since both apple displays came from an original iPhone 11 pro out of box never fixed by 3rd party components. To me this is a scam at the highest level possible. This means I have in no way the opportunity to replace the screen myself even if it is with an original iPhone screen. For me this is the same as buying a mercedes-benz and buying a lamp from the store and after my replacement the Bluetooth stops working with the message `sorry cannot verify a genuine mercedes lamp'.
Please explain to me how this is possible. For me this replacement just got a lot more expensive and mostly time consuming and I can't even get the full use of it. It just shut down the 'true tone' mode and left a nice message for me to open every time I want to use my phone.
Is there any answer to this problem? I understand you use this to differentiate genuine apple displays to 3rd party apple displays. I would say that's a positive thing since you immediately know that there is a 3rd part display on the phone with less quality. But to apply the same to an original Apple screen is unacceptable!
