Can't print pdf to Dropbox or save to iCloud drive using print dialog box pdf workflow option

I often print pdfs to specific finder folders using the pdf workflow option in the print dialog box, but I'm unable to print a pdf to a folder in Dropbox. I'm also unable to save files to iCloud Drive using the same process.

I **can** save to a regular finder folder, and I'm able to save documents and drag and drop files to both Dropbox and iCloud Drive. It's just the print to pdf function that's not working.

I'm not sure if this is a long-standing problem or has only surfaced recently with Big Sur.

Has anybody else had this issue?

I've had similar issues since updating to Big Sur. I have a networked hard drive where I save most of my pictures, pdfs, etc. I often use my ScanSnap to save a pdf directly to the networked drive, or download a pdf directly to a folder on the networked drive. In each case, the "Save As PDF" window allows me to navigate to the folder (so I know the connection is working), but whenever I click "Save," the window disappears, I get the spinning color wheel for a bit, then "Server connections interrupted:" with the choice to either "Ignore" or "Disconnect All." I am able to save to the local hard drive, but I would like to be able to use the folders I was using before the update. Trying to drag a file from the desktop to the network folder results in error code "100060." Any help would be appreciated.
