Unable to charge my Apple Watch

Hi, I was not able to charge my Apple Watch for about 5 days. I left it charging overnight thinking it would be fully charged and okay but it is still dead and won’t come off of a black screen. I have tried the hard reset and pressing the dial and other button countless times, but still no luck. It does get warm sometimes while it sits on the charger as well. I have not worn my Apple Watch in water or had it around water. Is this a software issue or a hardware issue?

If you store a device when its battery is fully discharged, the battery could fall into a deep discharge state, which renders it incapable of holding a charge.  For service & repair se:
