I believe that message is what you get when you get a new iPhone/iPod or iPhone/iPod system upgrade and you're running an older system on the Mac it's connected two via USB cable.

Do you have an iPhone or iPad that's named Joan Wilkerson Z?

I don't have a new iPhone/iPad(2) I do have both but they are probably 2 years old and one very old iPad that is rarely used to listen to meditation links. You are correct my iPhone is named Joan Wilkerson Z - did not know that! There are many update needed on iPhone (learning). Thank you "Old Toad". Joan

Users of Mojave OS and older get that very unclear message to be compatible with devices iOS 14 or iPad OS14. It patches iTunes so it can continue to back-up, synch, and manage your iDevice like before. I've applied it to two Macs running Mojave and nothing bad happened, and I can again use those computer to manage our four iPads. You OS version does not change.
