No, not really. They were released 1 year apart. Also the 6 Plus was released on the same day as the iPhone 6, and is not compatible with iOS 13, or 14
iOS 12.5 is the highest possible for that model.
But why is my iPhone 6s showing an update for iOS 14?
Because the iPhone 6S is a newer model with adequate hardware to accept the newer version of iOS.
But they literally came out within a few days of eachother and it says online that iPhone 6 Plus can get the iOS 14 update
