iPod touch (5th generation) - Screen flickering. Please read!

Hi, just now I have restarted my iPod touch when it froze. Now, you can see there is a screen flickering, it is only on black parts of the screen and it did happen all of a sudden. When booting up, there small dots appearing randomly on random parts of the screen. Only 2 per boot. This is for sure something that doesn’t do with the hardware, should I maybe do a hard reset?
