Black screen with sound when trying to mirror my Apple TV library from my mid 2019 macpro to 3rd gen Apple TV

Okay,

so I know this is complicated. I bought a 3rd generation Apple TV so I could watch my one year of free Apple TV that came with my mid 2019 MacBook Pro on my television.

When I watch the shows on my MacBook Pro I can see it, but as soon as I turn on screen mirroring the screen where my show is playing turns jet black and there is still sound, but no movie.

How do I watch my show/movie on my television with Apple TV/airplay/Apple TV?
