Using an external webcam with FaceTime

I'm trying to use a webcam in FaceTime rather than the camera built into my Macbook. I have no issue selecting the webcam in the Zoom app. However, inside the Facetime app, no camera options are available.

I did a web search and the few results related to external camera are several years old. I am running Catalina 10.15.5. Thanks, in advance, for any suggestions/solutions.
