My AirPods aren’t working. I heard something about there being an issue with AirPods if you have an Apple Watch and the iPhone 11. What is this about?

When I use my AirPods with my Apple Watch, only the left AirPod works I just purchased AirPods and they work fine when I use them with my iPhone but when I head out on my run and use them with my Apple Watch, only the left air pod works and the right one is silent. AirPods won’t properly connect Hi ! I bought AirPods but they won’t properly connect unless my Apple Watch is turned off. If I try to connect the AirPods when my watch is on it makes my phone freeze and crash. very annoyed. Does anyone have any insight on how this can be fixed ???
