I keep hearing from peers, that my voice is too low, all the time. Mine is a less than one month old MacBook Air 2020, M1 chip. The keyboard is not covered, there is no dust on the left side of the panel. The Mic inputs volume setting in system preferences is set to maximum. The speakers are pretty loud.
Any one else with the issue?

Yes - very strange this. I was on a Zoom call last night and had set the microphone to a high level. All was well but after about 15 minutes a few of the dozen or so there started to complain that they could hardly hear me. I have checked just now and the microphone level slider has gone right down to barely zero, seemingly on its own. This is very weird. The Macbook Air is less than a week old but will be going back if this cannot be solved.
