How can I block area code 469 from texts
the area code is always 469 but the number is always different, any way to block the 469 area code, regardless of the rest of the 7 digits?
I get numerous texts a day

I am getting a ton of texts from this area code as well. It is extrelemy annoying.
i have at&t and have reported this sender probably 20 times to the 7726 number and still nothing. I still get like 3-5 texts per day. All hours of the day.
knowing how to block this whole area code will be really good to know.
How many people need to complain about 469 area code spam texts before something is done about it. This Area Code should be blockable or something needs to be done about where these are coming from. Has there been anyone who accidentally clicked on the link or perhaps mistakenly fell for their subtle notes, for instance, there was one time I almost clicked on it because all it said was "We tried to deliver your package but you were not home. Click here...blah blah blah" I was mili-seconds from clicking when I saw who it was from and stopped. All in all, I am so tired of these text messages. I block and block and block and they are still managing to send texts with different numbers every time.

Maybe the providers need to hear from users as well. For AT&T: text a copy of the SPAM to 7726. Then it will ask for phone number the SPAM came from. I do this for every SPAM text.
As far as I know, the code is the same for all carriers in the U.S. I also report spam texts to that number. I have it in my contacts so I just have to type "spam".
That is not a solution just a waste of time because they generating fake numbers the issue is for PUC & FCC regulated carriers to shut down the off shore hackers who are phishing for your financial passcodes.
I too just started to receive text spams from this area code. Before this week I probably have received 10 text spams a year. Now, I have received about 10 this past week.
I just signed up for Venmo. Did you just sign up for Venmo too? Just seeing if there is a correlation.
Thanks,
Mike
Same here - it is absolutely annoying and I too use my phone for work! One came in addressing me by first name! I agree that perhaps ATT needs to block area code 469 completely as it is a nuisance to customers.
I have the same issue with 469 texts. I have tried to block each number but as Jackiestar8 stated the number is different each time. How can these be stopped/blocked. I have reported many on AT&T support but not sure if that will have any impact.

You can't stop them. Over time, reporting them will help but it's not an instant fix.
Settings/Messages/Unknown & Spam. Turn on Filter Unknown Senders. The all texts from numbers that are not in your contacts will go to a different list when you retrieve messages. You can also add a spam filter such as nomorobo that will further filter based on their database of spam numbers.
No they don’t stop new numbers that are regenerated , all of the 3000 469 area code spam texts are different one time use numbers that I have. Blocked , I need to block all 469 area code texts because each spam text is a single use number so blocking a number that will neverv be used again is moronic .this has nothing to do about junk mail BEING SENT it’s about unsolicited TEXTS from 4 hundred million possible combinations of randomly generated TEXTS from AREA CODE 469 .( DUH )
I wish that actually worked with AT&T. I have forwarded hundreds (literally) of spam texts from area code 469. It doesn't even slow down the amount. It's probably, easily 10+ per day. It's always a different number. It's not even coming FROM that number...it's just an app. I curse whomever came up with that particular brand of BS.
Probably. It's beyond ridiculous. Forwarding the texts to AT&T's junk notification text number is pointless and just a waste of time. It wouldn't be SO bad...but, I have to deal with it on my phone, my laptop and my desktop (all Apple). It's infuriating.
As has been repeated many times in this thread, there is nothing you can do to stop text spam. NOTHING. Just delete it when you see it. If you can find a solution I will nominate you for a Nobel Prize.
You can enable the feature that will send texts from people not in your contacts to a separate queue, but that’s about it.
Hi. I also have the same problem with area code 469. I am also with AT&T. It started a few months ago. I get a few texts a day. Every time I get a text, I have to block it. It is getting so annoying because now I get texts as early as 4am. There must be something someone can do. Apple, please help.

Well, you are not alone. With the US population fo 330 million, I’m sure every one of us gets spam texts many times a day.

There is not an option to block these messages -- I get several a day and have to individually block each number -- they just use a new number. Apple needs to get the FCC involved. It's unacceptable that these devices allow this.
