How can I block area code 469 from texts
the area code is always 469 but the number is always different, any way to block the 469 area code, regardless of the rest of the 7 digits?
I get numerous texts a day

I also am receiving spam texts from 469 area code. Please make them stop!
No one here can do that. Contact your carrier.
In the message, tap Report Junk, then tap Delete and Report Junk. The sender's information and the message are sent to Apple, and the message is permanently deleted from your device. Note: Reporting junk or spam doesn't prevent the sender from sending messages, but you can block the number to stop receiving them.

area code 469!! I have the same issue with text 3-4 times daily from a unique # each time. I block every single #. I copy the text and send to AT&T 7726 then it ask for the # which I copy using info from the text the paste to 7726. I’m hoping it will help stop this craziness!! If Apple can block an area code it would be SOOOO HELPFUL!!

How many people need to complain about 469 area code spam texts before something is done about it. This Area Code should be blockable
This is a user-to-user forum. No one here can change the way an iPhone works or force carriers or local governments to do what you want.
You can let Apple know your thoughts here:
Also, contact your carrier. Contact your elected representatives.

How can these be stopped/blocked. I have reported many on AT&T support but not sure if that will have any impact.
You can't stop them. Over time, reporting them will help but it's not an instant fix.
As has been repeated many times in this thread, there is nothing you can do to stop text spam. NOTHING. Just delete it when you see it. If you can find a solution I will nominate you for a Nobel Prize.
You can enable the feature that will send texts from people not in your contacts to a separate queue, but that’s about it.
There is not an option to block these messages -- I get several a day and have to individually block each number -- they just use a new number. Apple needs to get the FCC involved. It's unacceptable that these devices allow this.
This is not an Apple issue. EVERY cell phone in the country, whether they are iPhones, Android phones or just dumb flip phones has the same problem. As a resident of the US perhaps you should petition the FCC to do something. You can do that on their website: https://consumercomplaints.fcc.gov/hc/en-us
I just made a complaint with the FCC hopefully something can be done. I’m sure it wouldn’t hurt for others to do so as well. There isn’t an exact complaint for texts but there is for calls. Select that and you can state that they are texts. Maybe if we bombard them with complaints it will get fixed!

calm down. I agree with you. But apple recommended this person’s response which wasn’t even close to an applicable solution to said problem.
Yes, it is. It explains that no, they can't do what they want to do. That is the only real answer at the moment.
It's because the app is on your phone and the app is filtering the text messages. Not your provider or computer. I'm in the same boat. I have TextKiller and it works pretty well on the phone. But, I still get the BS texts on my iMac and MacBook Air. Those devices don't have anything that filters the texts. I wish they did though!
Yes these are being sent by a robo caller. They pick numbers randomly so these is no way to block them. They spoof the numbers, meaning they can pitch any number to use, not just 469, but I too get tons of 469 calls daily. No idea why AT&T doesn’t do something about that? Don’t know why Apple hasn’t given us a way to block anything and everything we want? Back in the DOS days you could just use 469*.* and that would cover everything from that area code. Maybe someone will figure out how to use *.* to help us block, or MAYBE APPLE COULD GET OFF THEIR BUTTS AND FIX REAL PROBLEMS INSTEAD OF JUST ADDING A MILLION NEW FUNCTIONS EVERY COUPLE OF WEEKS? APPLE NEEDS MORE SCRIPTORS WHO CAN THINK LIKE THE REGULAR USER. IT SEEMS LIKE ALL OF THEIR SCRIPTORS ARE SCRIPTING FOR COMPUTER WIZES. THEY ARE NEVER “USER FRIENDLY”. How about hiring some older people to use a new app or function, and work out bugs before they release them to the public?
There is no way currently to stop messages from just an area code. These spamamers use a different last 7 digits telephone number for each message. How about setting up a phone number range.. so we can block: (469)000-0000 to (469)999-9999. I, like other folks I get 2-3 of these spam messages from area code (469-Dallas, TX) daily. PLEASE!
Yes you can download apps that sent junk texts into a junk folder that seem to work really well
Text killer app will sort these into a junk folder. It works perfectly.
