Can't sync library on desktop version of Apple Music

After switching from Spotify to Apple Music and successfully syncing my library on the iOS app, I can't do the same on the desktop version.

I followed the tutorial: https://support.apple.com/en-sg/HT204926#turnon but it does not work for me. I do not get that option which is rather strange.

I would like to understand why I can't sync my library and what should I do to fix it. My macOS is the latest version.

Thanks.

Thank you, it actually synced out automatically next day I started my Mac and logged in again. The new menu on setting showed up (as per the link and guidelines) and my library was synchronised and I could see my playlist on my account - I couldn’t before).

Appreciate your help.

Hello javitxu_8,

Thanks for reaching out to the Apple Support Communities! We understand you are wanting some more information on using the Music app on your Mac to sync your Apple Music Library. We are happy to help provide some guidance on this.

To start, lets make sure that your Apple Music account is signed in to on your Mac to see if those options appear. When you have Music open, if you click on Account in the menu bar at the top of the screen, do you see the option to "Sign in"? Take a look at the steps to sign in here:

Join Apple Music on your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Mac, or PC

Specifically the section titled "How to listen to Apple Music on all of your devices".

We hope this information helps!

Cheers.
