Does Pages automatically save the document

The first time that you invoke File menu : Save and give the Pages document a new name, and then save the document, at that point, autosave is enabled. As you add changes to the document, it will automatically update about every 5 - 10 seconds, and somewhat longer if using iCloud Drive. I don't know if autosave will still function with non-Apple cloud services, or shared NAS storage on your network.
