not able to download whatsapp on Iphone 5s

I’ve recently bought a second hand Iphone 5s, and am not able to download current Whatsapp version v2.20.132. Is Iphone is too old? It has software version 12.5. Who has the solution?

Yes. The phone is too old. WhatsApp requires a later version of iOS than what that device can run.

Whatsapp are the only ones who can produce a version of the app that runs on obsolescent phones. They presumably made a policy decision not to, like many other apps requiring high security or bigger processors.
