Is 8g of memory & 512 gb of ram sufficient to run LogicPro on the new M1 MacBook Pro?

Test projects have shown capability of the M1 to run up to 455 tracks. My daughter has an M1 MBP with 8 GB RAM and has no issues running about 200 tracks.

It does of course depend on what those tracks are. 60 tracks of Kontakt orchestral stuff will probably be difficult, 50 tracks of audio with a dozen instruments will probably work fine.

Findings so far are roughly that 8 GB of M1 memory performs as if it were 16 GB of "oldskool" RAM.

I've been told/heard the M1 chip uses memory in a much more efficient manner. As MacOS moves toward iOS we will probably find out soon enough. I still can't imagine a 60+ track project running well on 8GB AM. Hopefully more M1 users will have advice.

Also, your 8GB memory is RAM, the 512GB SSD is Storage.

Random Access Memory loses it's data when the computer is powered down, Storage does not.
