Why complicate the clock/ alarm

i don’t live on a generic sleep schedule.

I have no routine.

I find the new clock/ alarm in iOS 14.2 is now over complicated.

There are now extra steps for somebody like me to set my bedtime alarm. Even when I reset my alarm, the next day my alarm will still be set unless I shut the whole thing down.

The previous version was simple and I wish to revert to that. Is that possible?

Should I try a new alarm app?

Why not just set a regular, no-repeating alarm in the Clock app? That really hasn't changed much in years (yes, the scrollers are gone and you pick the time from a keypad but other than that it's pretty much the same as ever). You don't have to use the sleep tracking feature if you don't want to.

The simplest way to set an alarm is to say, "Hey, Siri, set an alarm for 7am".
